Tavira Island

Tavira Island stretches for about 11 kilometres and is quite wide, between 150 metres and 1 kilometre. The white sandy beaches stretch as far as the eye can see. The sea water is calm, clean and crystal clear, making it ideal for families with children.

The beach of Tavira Island is backed by golden sand dunes instead of the cliff backed beaches that you can find in other parts of the Algarve. But one thing is for sure: this is one of the best beaches that you will find in the Algarve. Also, several water sports can be enjoyed on this beach, like jet ski or the banana boat, there are facilities for all ages.

The many restaurants you can visit on this island offer an outstanding diversity in cuisine for all tastes. For those that want a sun lounger and some shade there is plenty of areas to choose from to relax and soak up the sun.
